Apple slices with crunchy peanut butter and cinnamon

icon
A super simple and quick snack which will help to keep the hunger pangs away but won’t give you a super high sugar rush, followed by a slump. Win, win! You can add whatever you like to the top, we’ve added cinnamon as it helps to stabilise blood sugar. Use dark chocolate chips for a little extra treat and a boost of iron.
Ingredients

2 apple slices (as thick or as thin as you like)

2 tsp peanut butter

A pinch or 2 of ground cinnamon

2 tbsp granola / seeds / dried fruit

1 tsp dark chocolate chips

Method
  1. Simply spread the peanut butter onto the apple slices and top with granola / seeds / dried fruit/dark chocolate chips.

  2. The apples will start to oxidize as soon as they are cut so it’s best to eat these snacks straight away but will keep happily in a sealed container for a day or two.
